DESIGN FOR ARIZONA ICED TEA
The selected works above come from my time as Senior Designer at AriZona Iced Tea. My responsibilities greatly varied and gave me the freedom for initiative, which included concept design and strategy on new products to packaging, point of sale items, promotional products, illustration, website planning / development / testing, user/customer interface and experience, ecommerce management, social media competitions, monthly email marketing campaigns, event materials and more…
In a very independent setting, I reported directly to the Creative Director and CEO while taking responsibilities on multiple national marketing campaigns. For example, during the twentieth anniversary we staged a four part marketing campaign that consisted of multiple location flavor taste tests, a vote for the favorite flavor, a fan based label design contest and randomly generated prizes activated through QR codes on millions of labels. This project went on for over a year and required clear communication and coordination between various departments and myself. One of my responsibilities on that particular contest for instance, was the designing and development of the web application that counted and tracked flavor votes. This website verified users by their Facebook account, allowed them to vote for a flavor (while limiting them to one vote per day), showed them the results in an animated graph and finally allowed them to share their result. Thousands of users voted over 2 weeks and we moved onto the design contest stage without a problem.
This poster series was an independent social commentary on American culture. I was driven to create a project that placed cultural views of the past against those of our current culture. My original intention was to reinvent quotes of American leaders to be more relevant but after some research and experimentation I found that the original quotes were much more powerful. Each piece was originally produced with oil paint as a monotype print, detail seen to the left.
DESIGN FORDEDICATION GRAPHICS
In 2010 I incorporated Dedication Graphics, a design company that provides all types of design services and creative solutions to businesses on Long Island, New York. With my partner Dylan Sullivan, we design everything from logos, to printed materials, websites and advertising campaigns. Over four years our business continues to expand by word of mouth, just a few clients are represented to the left.
This poster series was created for my senior thesis at Farmingdale State College. The assignment was to create a project based upon one of three words. My chosen word was “Blue" and so I created “American Blues" a multimedia social commentary campaign that consisted of a logo and 4 die-cut posters. The posters cover four topics; bipartisanship, consumerism, personal responsibility and national debt.
